Softly it Waits

Softly It Waits

Waking to the sun, with unforgiving intensity,
where shade is a welcomed friend, yet uncannily hard to come by-
unfamilar landscapes scatter my moods in undulating unpredicability-

Yet a resilient presence is always watching, amused as I shift
between serenity and agitation.
The magic that waits so softly to come out of me,
demands only to be recognized.
This magic will not allow itself to be forgotten.
It's sweetness haunts me.

It is this magic that feeds my steps forward.
It is for this magic that I live.
That I may embody it a little bit more of
each day regardless of circumstance.
